Pac-Man Turns 25
He May Move out of Parents’ Basement

One of the most iconic characters in video game history is turning 25 this year and although newer games bare no resemblance, they owe a lot to the little yellow guy. Pac-Man and the sequels brought a large audience into arcades and bars and it even helped introduce many people to video games. Pac-Man even caused a Yen shortage in Japan, where it was created.
Toru Iwatani was the man behind Pac-Man and he came up with the idea during a night out for dinner. After taking the first piece of pizza, he noticed that it looked like an open mouth and the rest is history.
Pac-Man indeed inspired many great, and not-so-great tributes to itself such as The Pac-Man cartoon, Song, and collectable stickers. Congratulations Mr. Pac on gobbling up the billions of quarters that you did!
